| Locarno Jury Prize for German Polish co-production |

The German/Polish co-production 33 Scenes from Life won the Special Jury Prize at the Locarno film festival which at the closing ceremony on August 16.
The film was written and directed by Malgoska Szumowska. The Leopard for best actor went to Tayanc Ayaydin for the film The Market -- A Tale of Trade, a Germany/UK/Turkey/Kazakhstan co-production directed by Ben Hopkins.
