Berlin-based world sales company m-appeal has acquired Marcin Wrona's second feature film, the crime drama The Christening. The Christening, produced by Odeon Film Studio (www.odeon.com.pl) in co-production with Andrzej Wajda Master School of Directing (www.wajdaschool.pl) and the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl), is the story of Michał, who seems to have everything one could dream of: a young family, his own business and a luxurious apartment in Warsaw. His idyllic life starts to fall apart when his old friend Janek appears who is to become the godfather of Michał's newborn son. The men not only share a common past, but also a dark secret that soon forces Janek to take a decision. Wrona debuted last year with his drama My Flesh My Blood. The Christening will have its international premiere in the Vanguard program of this year's Toronto International Film Festival.
