WARSAW: Polish boutique sales agent New Europe Film Sales (www.neweuropefilmsales.com ) has acquired its first feature film, Now, Forager, a Polish-US coproduction debut from Jason Cortlund and Julia Halperin.

NEFS picked up the film, about a pair of New York City foragers who gather mushrooms to sell to restaurants, after its participation in the Gotham in Progress pitching forum held at the American Film Festival in Poland. NEFS will handle non-US sales of the film.

 The Polish coproducer is  Krzysztof Szpetmański (www.monternia.pl ).

NEFS began as a specialist in short films with a catalogue that includes Oscar animation hopeful Paths of Hate by Damian Nenow produced by Platige Image, www.platige.com .
