Polish title Sponsoring headed for Berlinale

WARSAW: Polish title Sponsoring (Elles) directed by Malgorzata Szumowska will be the opening film of the Panorama section of the Berlinale 2012.

The Polish, German, French coproduction which is backed by the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl) and MEDIA and stars (Juliette Binoche) as a journalist writing an article about prostitution among female students. Binoche is joined by Polish talent Krystyna Janda and Andrzej Chyra.

Elles is an international coproduction between Zentropa International Poland (www.zentropa.dk ), Zentropa International Koln, the Paris-based company Slot Machine, and Canal+Polska (www.canalplus.pl).. The film will be released on 17 February 2012 in Poland.
