Race 2, a Bollywood sequel to a 2008 Indian action thriller, will be shot and Turkey and Cyprus, the film's creative team announced.

The film is directed by Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla and Mastan Alibhai Burmawalla, who go by the name Abbas-Mustan. The film is a coproduction from Illuminati Films, Tips Films Pvt. Ltd., and Tips Industries.

The shooting will be extensive, according to the directors, spread out over four or five months. Because of the duration, several of the original cast members had to be replaced. The first film was a love triangle involving two half-brothers who own a horse breeding farm and the woman they both love.

The film is scheduled for a November 2012 release in India.
