CEE Films Head to Cartoon Movie |

Four
animated feature films from Poland, Hungary and Estonia have been selected for
the 14th edition of Cartoon Movie, the European co-production forum for
feature-length animation that will take place in Lyon 7-9 March 2012
Polish animation is represented by two projects: Pelican,
a puppet animation by debuting director Magdalena Osinska, and Another
Day of Life, an adaptation of journalist Ryszard Kapuscinski's book
on the Angolan civil war and child soldiers. Combining live action and
animation, the film will be co-directed by Cartoon d'Or 2011 award finalist
Damian Nenow and produced by Platige Image (www.platige.com).
Estonia sends Morten on the Ships of Fools, a
puppet animation in stereoscopic 3D by director Kaspar Jancis, winner of the
Cartoon d'Or 2010 (Krokodill), who
adapts his own children's book; Hungary sends Over Splodge Hill, a
Stúdio Baestarts (www.studiobaestarts,com) production directed by József Sándor. A total of 50 projects will be pitched at Cartoon Movie.
