New Offices for Malta Film Commission

KALKARA: The Malta Film Commission, in the midst of one of Malta’s busiest film production years, announced its relocation to new offices at the Mediterranean Film Studios.

BUCHAREST: Romania's newest distribution company Freeman Distribution has become the official distributor of Lionsgate/Summit in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, ex­ Yugoslavia, Albania and Bulgaria.

PRAGUE: The Czech Republic stands in for Paris in Marguerite, a French period film set in the 1920‘s. The drama about a tone deaf opera singer is directed by Xavier Giannoli (In the Beginning, 2009; Superstar, 2012).

ZAGREB: Macedonian director Mitko Panov’s Wait for Me/Čekaj me, which wrapped shooting in Croatia on 18 October 2014, is the eighth international project benefitting from the film incentives scheme provided by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre in 2014.

JIHLAVA: French documentary director Anna Roussillon won the Opus Bonum competition of the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival for I Am the People (Je Suis le Peuple).

TALLINN: Films from Estonia, Latvia, Poland and the Czech Republic are among the ten films selected for the Tridens Baltic Sea and Nordic debut film award at the 18th Black Nights Film Festival held 14-30 November 2014. This is the first edition of the festival as a FIAF A rated festival.
