Eurimages Supports 30 New Coproductions

By

STRASBOURG: The 148th meeting of the Eurimages Fund decided to support 30 coproductions, consisting of 22 fiction films, 7 documentaries and one animation.

The lone animated film, Anca Damian’s The Extraordinary Voyage of Marona, received one of the largest grants, 432,000 EUR. More than half of the projects had partners from CEE territories, a sign of how well integrated the film industry in the region has become with its western European counterparts.

A total of 5,598,535 EUR was distributed in the latest round, which was held in Skopje from 16 to 20 October 2017. Eurimages noted that a third of the projects had female directors, with some prominent names coming from CEE countries.
