Central European Film Club cooperation

    Representatives of Association of Czech Film Clubs, Association of Slovak Film Clubs, Polish Federation of Film Societies and Hungarian Federation of Film Societies met November 14 in Olomouc during the Centropa Festival to plan a long-term cooperation.

    They plan to build a network to support and spread Central European film. Representatives of the societies agreed to found the Central European Federation of Film Societies (CEFFS). The CEFFS will organize regular meetings of the representatives.

    The Associations also agreed to cooperate on the distribution of films in film clubs and art cinemas and coordinate distribution of national films in Central European and provide a platform for discussion and cooperation between film producers and film distributors in the region. They also plan to present an annual award to a filmmaker for the most outstanding artistic achievement in Central European cinema.
