Romanian producer Ada Solomon has been named as one of five jury members who will select the ten 2012 Shooting Stars (www.shooting-stars.eu) for European Film Promotion (www.efp-online.com).

Solomon's jury colleagues are Danish actor Thure Lindhardt (Flame & Citron), the Dutch director Marleen Gorris (Within the Whirlwind), German casting director Simone Bär (Inglourious Basterds) and the British film journalist Matt Mueller (Total Film).

The actors, nominated by their national EFP member organizations, will be selected in December and presented at the 2012 Berlinale.

Solomon founded HiFilm Productions (www.hifilm.ro) in 2004. She has produced award-winning shorts by Cristian Nemescu (Marilena From P7), Radu Jude (The Tube with a Hat) and Paul Negoescu (Renovation), debut features by Melissa de Raaf and Razvan Radulescu (First of All, Felicia) and documentaries by Alexandru Solomon (Cold Waves). She is the initiator of the NexT Film Fest in Bucharest and the Romanian coordinator for EAVE, and was presented by EFP as a Producer on the Move at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2011.
