The film will be an adaptation of Cezar-Paul Bădescu's novel Luminiţa, Mon Amour with the script co-written by Netzer and Bădescu. Casting for main characters is in progress. Andrei Butică (Child’s Pose) is the DoP and Dana Bunescu (The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu produced by Icon Production) will edit.

Oana Kelemen is producing through Parada Film, the same company that produced Child’s Pose. There are German and French coproducers involved, although their names have not been announced yet.

The project received 361,000 EUR/1,590,000 RON from the Romanian National Film Center in October 2014, approximately half of the amount requested and approved by the law for the first project in its section. An appeal has already been made by the producer.

The estimated budget is 2m EUR/9m RON, Kelemen told FNE. Shooting is scheduled for the end of summer- autumn 2015 with the premiere loosely set for 2016.
