FESTIVALS: Far from Men Wins BIFF

    BUCHAREST: David Oelhoffen's Far from Men was awarded Best Film at the 11th Bucharest International Film Festival which took place from 20 to 26 April 2015.

    The jury, composed of Selma Mehadžić, Anjorka Strechel, Laurentiu Damian, Feti Dautović and Edvinas Puksta gave the Best Director award to Romanian Ana Lungu for her independent film The Adventures of a Dutiful Daughter, produced by Mandragora. The film will be released in Romanian cinemas on 25 September 2015. The press jury was composed of Cătălin Olaru, Michal Klimkiewicz and Horia Barna.

    The Bucharest International Film Festival was organised by Fundaţia Charta, with the support of the National Film Center, the Romanian Cultural Institute, and the National Patrimony.
