FNE at TIFF Romanian Days: Station #15033

    CLUJ-NAPOCA: Iulia Matei’s independent long documentary Staţia #15033/Station #15033 will have its world premiere out of the competition in the Romanian Days at Transilvania International Film Festival (29 May-7 June 2015).

    The documentary follows a year the life of Tiucu (Istrate Danci), a meteorologist working for over 24 years at the Iezer Weather Station located in the Rodnei Mountains National Park, at an altitude of 1785 metres. Marius Mîndrutău is the DoP. Shooting took place in 2013-2014.

    The film is produced by Iulia Matei with Vlad Voinescu coproducing through Rocket Superbe Sound. The budget was 91,000 EUR, Iulia Matei told FNE.The project received a grant from Transilvania Film Festival Fund in 2014 and is also supported by the Faculty of Theatre & Television from the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. No distributor is attached to the project yet.
