New channels hit Romanian market

    Two new music channels, Mooz Hits and Mooz Ro, have received licences from the National Audiovisual Council of Romania (www.cna.ro) and will start airing at the end of September 2010.

    Mooz Hits will air international music and Mooz Ro only Romanian music, with an investment of 50,000 Euro for both of them. Both of the channels are operated by Happy Media SRL, which operates another TV music channel, Party TV (www.partytv.ro). Mooz Hits and Mooz Ro will broadcast in high definition, although there is also a version in standard definition. Both of the channels will air 24X7, using 10% original material and 90% of material made by other producers. Their target audience are men and women aged 15 to 45.

    Program TV, has also received a licence from the National Audiovisual Council of Romania. Program TV, operated by SC. Pro Management Group SRL (www.pmgroup.ro), will work as a programme guide through teletext. The channel is being launched with an investment of 70,000 Euro. It received a satellite licence in April 2010.
