The Edge of Happiness /La cosmetique du bonheur/Despre cosmetice şi fericire (working title) is produced by Alex Iordăchescu of Swiss company Elefant Films (www.elefantfilms.ch) in co-production with Dan Burlac of Romania's Elefant Film and Richard Copans of French company Les Films d'Ici (www.lesfilmsdici.fr).
The budget is 2.2 million euro. The project has received support from the MEDIA Programme (http://ec.europa.eu/culture/media), Ville & Etat de Genève (www.geneve.ch) and the Romanian National Centre for Cinema (www.cncinema.abt.ro) which gave it a development grant in 2009.
Zenide co-wrote the script with Iordăchescu and Marek Epstein.
Shooting is set for September-November 2011 in Geneva, Iordăchescu told FNE. The lead actors are Dorotheea Petre, Elina Lowensohn and Antonio Buil.
