BUCHAREST: The deadline for submitting films to the 6^th edition of the NexT IFF (www.nextfilmfestival.ro), which takes place in Bucharest 28 March to 1 April 2012, is 15 December 2011.

For the first time, the call for entries is open not only for the competition, but also for three special off-competition programs: NexT Imaginaria, NexT Dance and NexT Kids.

NexT is accepting entries of narrative films (live action and animation) up to 60 minutes completed after 1 January 2010. Awards for the films selected in the competition:

The festival will award the following four prizes: NexT Trophy - 4000 Euro; "Cristian Nemescu" Best Directing Award - 2000 Euro; "Andrei Toncu" Best Soundtrack Award - 2000 Euro; and Best Romanian Film - 1000 Euro.
