The first TV channel for mobile phones, Telenews, a news televison channel started by Romanian born French journalist Nicolas Don, will launch in partnership with the Orange network in mid-March.

The channel will provide free news covering politics, economy, culture, sports and society as well as reports and interviews of interest to young adults, such as urban culture.

The team will consist of ten people Nicolas Don told local media that the channel will provide the audience with a complete picture of the day's news in five minutes . He added that statistics show that in Europe and USA more than 95% of people under 20 years old no longer watch the news on TV.

Mobile TV channels are already operating in West European countries including Germany, Italy, Great Britain and Switzerland.
