FESTIVALS: The 46th FEST Ready to Start in Serbia

    BELGRADE: The 46th edition of FEST, the largest and most popular film festival in Serbia, will screen 126 films from 23 February to 4 March 2018. Sixteen films are in the International Competition and five feature films will screen in the Serbian Cinema competitive section.

    The festival has 12 sections: International Competition, Focus Europe, Serbian Cinema, DOCUFEST, Frontiers, MicroWave, FEST Classic, FEST presents, FEST for Kids, PlayUK at FEST, Thrills'n'Kills, VR Films at Fest. The festival will open with Martin McDonagh's Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and will wrap with Malgorzata Szumowska's Mug / Twarz (produced by Nowhere in coproduction with the Krakow Festival Office).

    The industry section will consist mainly in FEST Forward Women in Film, during which three upcoming fiction films, two documentaries and one docu-fiction, all to be directed by female European directors, will be pitched.

    FEST 2018 will be held in eight venues, with Cine Grand Rakovica hosting screenings for the very first time this year.
