The film, which has a budget of 500,000 EUR, is a Slovak/Czech coproduction produced by Skop and Jan Melis of Artileria and coproduced by Alice Tabery of Sirius Films. It received support from the Slovak Audiovisual Fund, the Slovak Ministry of Culture and the Czech State Cinematography Fund. The project participated in the Torino Film Lab.

Eva Nova is the story of a once-famous actress and recovering alcoholic trying to regain the love of the person she hurt the most, her son. In his production notes, Skop said, “I am interested in the story of someone who hits rock bottom and decides to get back to the surface one more time and to ask again what really makes sense.”

The film is scheduled to be released in fall 2015.
