The 400,000 EUR film received development funding from HBO and the Polish Film Institute. Krasnohorska told FNE that she is applying to film funds and that a French producer will be coming on board the project.
The film will be directed by Kuba Mikurda (Poland) in 80 minute and 52 minute versions. The DoP is Radek Ladczuk. The film is described as “a documentary essay about one of the most puzzling career twists in 20th century European cinema.”
Production will take place in 2016. The film is scheduled for completion in 2017.
