FESTIVALS: Mr. Mare Wins 26th Febiofest in Bratislava

    PRAGUE: The Hungarian/French coproduction Mr. Mare / Lidér úr directed by Lucy Tóth was awarded best film in the Heart of Europe competition section of the 26th International Film Clubs Festival Febiofest Slovakia.

    This short animated film with a poetic surreal story about love and loneliness premiered in 2019 Berlinale Shorts.

    The international jury was composed of Philip Ilson (Artistic Director of the London Short Film Festival), Natalia Libet (film producer) and Sarah Momesso (representative of the ISFF in Clermont-Ferrand).

    The International Film Clubs Festival Febiofest Slovakia took place from 20 to 26 March 2019 in Bratislava, offering screenings of more than 100 titles divided into nine sections.

    A selection of the films screened in the festival will travel to other cities across Slovakia until 10 April 2019.
