FESTIVALS: IFF Bratislava announced doc competition

    IFF Bratislava (www.iffbratislava.sk), 5-11 November, will include three CEE films in its documentary competition. Directors Stephan Komandarev (Bulgaria), Boris Mitic (Serbia), and Alexander Nanau (Romania) will be in the Slovak capital to present their films.

    The jury consists of award-winning Slovak documentary filmmaker Marko Skop, director Massoud Bakhshi, and producer Meike Martens.

    Nine of the ten films have been announced. They include Komandarev's The Town of Badante Women (Argo Film, komandarev@abv.bg), Mitic's Goodbye, How areYou? (www.dribblingpictures.com), and Nanau's The World According to Ion B. (HBO Romania, www.hbo.ro).

    The remaining films are:

    Into Eternity, Michael Madsen, Denmark/Finland

    The Mouth of the Wolf, Pietro Marcello, Italy

    Land, Julian T. Pindar, Canada

    Port of Memory, Kamal Aljafari,Palestine/Germany/France/UAE
