The biography of beloved Lithuanian writer Jurga Invanauskaite, who died at age 45  in 2007, was directed by Agne Marcinkeviciute, and will be theatrically released in early 2009.

Dance in the Desert was supported by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture with a €10,000 (35,000 Litas) grant.

The EU Media sponsored Forum is organized by The National Film Centre of Latvia in collaboration with the European Documentary Network, the Baltic Films and the Latvian Producers Association for producers of documentary films and television programmes from the Baltic States, Belarus, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Georgia, as well as producers from other European countries if the film subject is related to the Baltic Region.
