11 Slovak works-in-progress to be presented in Bratislava and online

    Slovak Film Institute / National Cinematographic Centre would like to announce 11 Slovak film projects that will be presented at Works in Progress session during Bratislava Industry Days at Febiofest IFF on March 21.

    International jury will hand the Best Febio Pitch Award worth €3000. Jury members are: Daniela Cölle (Pluto Film), Rohan Berry Crickmar (Edinburgh IFF), and Joana de Sousa (Doclisboa). New partner awards include Cineuropa Work in Progress Award which consists of coverage of the awarded project throughout the various stages of development and distribution by Cineuropa; and Pop Up Film Residency Award which grants one project a three-week residency with the guidance of a project-specific mentor.

    Works in Progress presentation takes place at Bratislava's Lumière Cinema and will be live streamed for pre-registered audience – you can register here.

    Of 11 selected projects in various stages of development/production, five are fiction films (including one short), five are documentaries (including one short), and one is animated short.

    Works in Progress presentation will take place on Monday, March 21 at 11:00 CET.

    Works in Progress is a public presentation of upcoming Slovak films for representatives of international film festivals, industry platforms, and sales agents. Slovak film professionals, members of press, film students and others interested in contemporary Slovak cinema are very welcome to join the presentation.
