Scripts for 3rd edition of ScripTeast programme are now being accepted.

    Until the end of June it is possible to submit the scripts to SCREAPTEAST which is addressed to the scripwriters from Central and Eastern Europe.

    Scripteast is a training program which does not teach how to write a script but enables working on the ready projects, focuses on developing them, enhancing their chances on international film market and promoting their authors within the industry worldwide

    The participants work with the Creative Advisors, the world acclaimed directors, authors and producers. Among them, during the last sessions, were: Peter Webber - director of Oscar-nominated "Girl with a Pearl Earring", Enzo Monteleone - scriptwriter and director, author of the script for Oscar winning "Mediterraneo" , Cedomir Kolar - producer of Oscar-winning "No Man's Land", Monte Hellman - producer of Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs", Marek Rozenbaum - producer of Golden Palm nominated "Tehilim", Ula Stöckl - director, writer and producer, member of selection comitee for Panorama at Berlinale, Bernd Lichtenberg - scriptwriter of "Goodbye Lenin", Lynda Myles - producer of films by Alan Parker and Stephen Frears.

    The Head of Studies were: Tom Abrams, award-winning scriptwriter, author of Oscar-nominated "Shoeshine" and "Performance Pieces", professor at University of Southern California in LA and Christian Routh, long-term Head of Selection of European Script Fund script analyst, consultant, editor and lecturer.

    ScripTeast is addressed to the experienced authors from Central or Eastern European country who have a finished or nearly finished script of a feature film, have experience as a scriptwriter (working for film or television), director, journalist or a writer.

    The 3rd edition of ScripTeast will start in September 2008 with the stationary session in the Ossoliński Palace in Sterdyn (Poland), where the participants will have one-to-one meeting with their Creative Advisors.

    Then there will be two sessions during Berlin Film Festival and Film Festival in Cannes. Whilst festival in Cannes the international Advisory Board will select the winning script whose author will receive Krzysztof Kieślowski Award and the cheque for 10.000 €.

    ScripTeast was created at the initiative of Dariusz Jablonski, director and producer, the president of Independent Film Foundation (Poland), developed on the basis of the experience in co-operation with the Sundance Institute.

    ScripTeast is organized by Independent Film Foundation, with the support of the Media Programme of the European Union, TVP (Polish Television ), Polish Film Institute, and Apple Film Production, in co-operation with the European Film Academy, ACE - Atelier du Cinema Europeen, Producers Network, e-Talenta, FadeIn (Central European Pitch Forum) and festivals in Berlin, Cannes and Karlovy Vary.
