The Institute of Documentary Film (IDF) has officially launched the new documentary portal www.DOKweb.net. In addition to the daily updated news section, the portal now boasts the most comprehensive online database of East European documentary films produced after 1989, a database of East European documentary professionals, and a detailed industry directory that lists European and international festivals, grants, funds, organizations, institutions, production and distribution companies, markets, workshops, film schools and many more categories. Replacing IDF's former site www.DOCUinter.net, www.DOKweb.net now offers more content and interactivity.
We would like to ask you to help us update your listings, filmographies, contact details, photos or trailers:
We will appreciate any comments or suggestions that could help make our portal more user-friendly. We would also like to encourage all documentary professionals to update and edit details on their films, companies or festival awards. We will continue to update our listings of films, professionals and companies by sending out email requests. From June 2010, professionals will be able to access their data using interactive forms. Until then, please send your corrections and comments to dokweb@dokweb.net.
http://www.dokweb.net/.net is one of several projects run by the Institute of Documentary Film. Our activities that include, among others, Ex Oriente Film - a workshop of creative documentary film; East European Forum - a co-production meeting, and East Silver - a documentary market for East European documentary films, are dedicated to the development, production, distribution and promotion of East European documentary films.
