We are pleased to inform that Lithuanian film LOSS (original title NEREIKALINGI ZMONES) has got 2 awards in the prestigious 11th Shanghai International Film Festival (one of 12 A class festivals in the world). On June 22nd, 2008 international jury headed by director Wong Kar Wai ("Ashes of time redux", "My Blueberry nights", "In the moods of love", "2046") awarded LOSS with Jin Jue Awards for Best director (Maris Martinsons) and for Best music (Andrius Mamontovas). After the closing ceremony Wong Kar Wai personally expressed his fascination of the film's DoP - Gints Berzins. This is the first Lithuanian feature film got such a high evaluation in the international film arena.
