The Lithuanian documentary film Zone (Nebalta drobė) directed by Jurga Naraškevičiūtė is now in postproduction.

The film is produced by Studija 2 (Lithuania) and received essential development funding from the Cultural Support Foundation, Lithuania (www.krf.lt). The film is budgeted at 35,000LT.

Naraškevičiūtė said that Zone looks at the topic of art in a closed society - painting in prison. The main characters in the film, repeat offenders who have been sent back to prison and are serving their sentences for various crimes, find that art opens their world outlook.

World sales are under negotiation. The 52 minute long documentary film will be released in the Lithuanian Cinema Pasaka.
