The Lithuanian-French documentary film Sharunas Bartas, an Army of One directed by Guillaume Coudray is now in postproduction.

Sharunas Bartas, an Army of One is produced by Lithuania's Era Film Ltd (www.erafilm.lt) with lead producer Rasa Miskinyte in co-production with France's Leitmotiv production (www.lesyeuxverts.com/professionnels/leitmotivproduction.php).

According to producer/director Coudray, the film mixes present-day interviews of Bartas (in which he discusses about his craft, his intentions, the purpose of his very specific stylistic choices) with a first-person account of the time Coudray spent with Bartas 10 years ago. The purpose is to give an insight of Bartas as a great creator, but also to draw the viewer into a "personal adventure" in which a young Parisian discovers that life with charismatic creators is somewhat different from what he had imagined.

The film received 10,000 Euros in development funding from MEDIA.

The documentary film, as well as three films directed by Bartas: Few of Us (1996), The House (1997), Seven Invisible Men (2005) will be released in France and French-speaking territories on DVD by Films du Paradoxe company (http://www.filmsduparadoxe.com/).
