WARSAW:
Grzegorz Kuczerszka has finished the first part of the shoot for Mission: Afghanistan,
an original Polish series produced by Akson Studio for Canal+. The
production will resume in April 2012 with a premiere planned for the
fall of 2012.
Mission: Afghanistan is planned as a 13 episode series about
the realities of military service abroad. The script is written by Jan
Pawlicki and Mark Kreutz, who conducted extensive research on the topic
and interviews with Polish soldiers who served in
Afghanistan, as well as with their families. "An original, emotion provoking script, current topic that hasn't been
taken upon by any other producer and finally the plot -- these are the
factors that made us decide to make Mission: Afghanistan. We are
convinced that the work of the director and cinematographer Grzegorz
Kuczeriszka, supported by Marcin Starzecki, combined with a well thought
out cast and the larg scale of the production will result in a show
that will significantly stand out in the present television production
market," said Beata Ryczkowska, the Executive Director of the
Programming Department at Canal+ Cyfrowy. Akson Studio |
