WARSAW: Polish director Marcin Krzyształowicz has completed shooting his new film Manhunt, a dynamic thriller reliving the reality of war occupation. 

Manhunt follows the story of corporal Wydra (Marcin Dorociński), a soldier in the partisan army, who has to face not only the German troops and Polish war traitors, but also his own dark past. The cast includes Maciej Stuhr, Sonia Bohosiewicz and Weronika Rosati.

"It is hard to find contemporary Polish titles that treat the characters and the story in such an uncommon approach. This is an art perfectly executed by the Americans. They can shoot a wonderful film that moves the audience through the years, covering every episode in their history. Manhunt represents this sort of American approach to history", actress Sonia Bohosiewicz told FNE.

The shoot for Manhunt took place on location in Rytro, Słomniki and Luborzyca. It launched on 15 November 2011 and finished on 19 January 2012. The filming was completed in co-production with Alvernia Studios, which handled film set services.

The producer of the film is produced by Skorpion Arte (www.skorpionarte.pl) in co-production with Krakow Festival Office (www.film-commission.pl), Telekomunikacja Polska S.A (www.tp.pl), Studio Produkcyjne ORKA (www.orkafilm.pl) and NON STOP Film Service (www.nsfs.pl). The project is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl) and Krakow Regional Film Fund from the funds of the Malopolska Region and the City of Krakow.

The distributor of Manhunt is Kino Świat (www.kinoswiat.pl). The film will open in Polish cinemas in the fall of 2012.
