BUCHAREST: A Romanian comedy directed by Iura Luncaşu and produced by MediaPro Pictures (www.mediapropictures.com) started a three week shoot on 31 October 2011. The still-untitiled film stars Andi Vasluianu and Diana Dumitrescu. The cast includes Marius Damian and Antoaneta Zaharia. Adrian Lustig wrote the script. Manu Kadosh is the DOP.
The story line follows the pairings of people via the internet and social networks. Dani (Andi Vasluianu) works at a cable company and also as a part-time gigolo. He finds his soul mate by chance, when replacing his friend at a meeting arranged via internet. Dana (Diana Dumitrescu) similarly is coerced to replace her best friend, who is embarrassed that she's too fat, at the meeting.
Shooting is taking place in Bucharest and at MediaPro Studios in Buftea. The premiere is set for 2012.
