WARSAW: Polish cinematographer Jacek Petrycki (Offsiders, Europa Europa) and screenwriter Krystyna Krauze are in production with Returns of Agnieszka H., a multi-layered documentary about Oscar-nominated Agnieszka Holland’s youth, her years at Prague’s FAMU film school and her fascination with the Czech culture.

BUCHAREST: Gheorghe Andrei is in postproduction with his first feature, It Takes Two to Fence, an independent production about love, friendship and ambition in the world of fencing. 

ZAGREB: Croatian multimedia artist Helena Bulaja is in postproduction with Mechanical Figures_Inspired by TESLA, an ambitious experimental interactive documentary inspired by the famous Croatia-born scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla. 

ZAGREB: Zrinko Ogresta (Washed Out) is in postproduction with Projections, a psychological drama that was shot in Zagreb between 14 January and 1 February 2013, with theatrical release expected in autumn 2013.

ZAGREB: Croatian writer/director Ognjen Sviličić began filming the contemporary drama Quiet People on 18 March 2013. Shooting will wrap on 25 April 2013. 

WARSAW: Platige Image is working on Another Day of Life, an international coproduction with Spain, Germany and Belgium fusing animation and documentary styles.

WARSAW: Polish director Marcin Wronais working on Daemon, an adaption of the Polish theater play Przylgnięcie (Adherance) written by Piotr Rowiecki about a paranormal presence.

ZAGREB: The Witch in the Jaws of Life, the first documentary feature from Senad Zemunović and Mija Pavliša, follows the famous writer Dubravka Ugrešić, branded a “witch to be burned at the stake” in the 1990s when she opposed nationalism in her writings.

WARSAW:  Animation directors Tomasz Leśniak, Jakub Tarkowski and Wojtek Wawszczyk are working on Tim and The Master, an adaptation of a graphic novel by Rafał Skarżycki (script) and Tomasz Lew (graphics). 

ZAGREB: Concrete Love/Stvarna ljubav (working title), the debut documentary feature of theatre and film actor and director Boris Bakal is the result of his 10-year struggle to save a modernist skyscraper built by Ivan Vitić in the center of Zagreb.

WARSAW: Xawery Żuławski will direct the legendary Polish gutter novel Zły with shooting planned to begin by the end of 2013.

WARSAW: Anna Kazejak, director of Flying Pigs, is in the process of casting teenagers for her dramatic feature film Słowo.

WARSAW: Polish actor and director Jerzy Stuhr is in development with Citizen, a new dramatic comedy which he wrote.

PRAGUE: Milan Cieslar has finished shooting his romantic war film Colette based on the book of the same name by Pulitizer Prize nominated Czech writer Arnost Lustig who also co-wrote the script.

ZAGREB: Tomislav Mršić’s dramatic comedy Cowboys completed shooting on 2 March 2013.

ZAGREB: Branko Ištvančić, (The Ghost in the Swamp) finished shooting The Bridge at the End of the World, a thriller produced by Irena Skorić through Artizana Film in coproduction with the Croatian Radiotelevision, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Heft Production, and Serbia’s Cinematographer's House/Kinematografska Kuća.
