SARAJEVO: Bulgarian writer/director Dragomir Sholev will present his next project Pig at CineLink Work-in-Progress, set to take place from 14 to 16 August 2017 in the framework of Sarajevo Film Festival’s CineLink Industry Days.

Co-written by Martin Iliev, the story follows Pig, a 13-year-old boy who is constantly bullied for not being able to fit in. The lonely and introvert boy never responds to the mockery until one day, when he is pushed to his limits and he fights back. Afraid that he killed the other boy, he runs away. He tries to hide in a nearby forest, then to turn himself in to the police, but he can’t do it. When discovered by his classmates, he is beaten once again. A doctor saves him and for the first time somebody will show empathy for the Pig.

Dragomir Sholev and Elena Mosholova are producing through Gorilla Film in coproduction with Nu Boyana’s Yariv Lerner and Screening Emotions. SEE Cinema Network is supporting.

The film is currently in the editing stage and it should be finished by spring 2008.

Producers are hoping to gain postproduction support and to close the gap in financing. Also, as all rights to the film are still available, they hope to secure a sales agent during CineLink Work-in-Progress.
