FNE at Hungarian Film Week: The Days of Desire (A vágyakozás napjai)

    The Days of Desire, a black and white film directed by József Pacskovszky, was originally intended as a television movie, before a decision was made to produce it as a feature film.

    The central character is a mute 18-year-old girl - played by an amateur actress Orsolya Schefcsik - working as a maid in the house of a couple whose child has died in an accident.

    The Days of Desire was shot small towns around Budapest, and the shooting lasted for 27 days. The film was supported by Magyar Mozgókép Közalapítvány (ww.mmka.hu) , Oktatási és Kulturális Minisztérium (www.okm.hu), and Concorde Pénzügyi Tanácsadó Kft. The production company is Film-Art Kft. (www.filmart.hu).
