WARSAW: The new drama by Oscar-winning Polish director Paweł Pawlikowski Cold War has been acquired by Amazon Studios. The film is set in Poland of the 50s and 60s. Pawlikowski told FNE that the film tells the story of two young people and their difficult love in those times.

Cold War is a drama about two people who can't live with or without each other. "The times when we face history usually bring out a deeper truth about us. The film will tell the story of young people of those times and will talk about their great and difficult love, that was run through the mill of history", Paweł Pawlikowski told FNE while developing the film.

Cold War is a British/Polish/French coproduction and is produced by Apocalypso Pictures and Opus Film along MK Productions. The main characters are played by Joanna Kulig, Agata Kulesza, Borys Szyc and Tomasz Kot.

Pawlikowski began working on the film in February 2017. Paris-based MK2 Films and London-based Protagonist Pictures are handling the sales.
