New Film by Patryk Vega Tops Polish Box Office

    WARSAW: Women of Mafia, a new crime comedy directed by Polish box office hit filmmaker Patryk Vega, noted the best result in 2018 with 684,000 admissions during its opening weekend, ahead of Fifty Shades Freed. The UK release by Odeon is set for 2 March 2018.

    Women Of Mafia by Patryk VegaThe film written and directed by Patryk Vega follows two female police officers, who fight to survive a police force filled with corrupt superiors and brutal criminal mafia. The cast includes long term Vega's collaborators such as Agnieszka Dygant, Aleksandra Popławska, Katarzyna Warnke, Julia Wieniawa-Narkiewicz, Janusz Chabior, Sebastian Fabijański, Bogusław Linda, Olaf Lubaszenko and Piotr Stramowski.

    The film is produced by the director's company Vega Investments and it was shot in Warsaw by the end of 2017. Kino Swiat released it domestically on 22 February 2018.

    Women of Mafia follows Vega’s previous hits, Botox and the Pitbull series, both produced by Ent One.
