CLUJ-NAPOCA: The documentary Cabbage, Potatoes and Other Demons by Şerban Georgescu will screen in the Romanian Days competition of the 16th Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) from 8 to 10 June 2017. The festival will run this year from 2 to 11 June. The film is a Romanian/German coproduction about a Romanian village with 5,000 inhabitants and almost 1,000 tractors.

The filming lasted one year, aiming to discover why the inhabitants live in debt despite opportunities for a good life.

Georgescu produced through his company Kolectiv in coproduction with Romania’s Elefant Film and Germany’s Ma.ja.de Filmproduktion. Bogdan Slăvescu is the DoP.
