    BELGRADE: The acclaimed Serbian director Goran Radovanović is in final stages of production with The Makavejev Case or Trial in a Movie Theater, a documentary on the revered Yugoslav and Serbian film author Dušan Makavejev. The film is expected to be released in the first half of 2019.

    The Makavejev Case or Trial in a Movie Theater / Slučaj Makavejev ili proces u bioskopskoj Sali is not just an homage to one of the greatest film authors of this region, but also an atttempt to reveal the crucial trauma of the socialist Yugoslavia, Goran Radovanović said.

    Nama Film and Oktobar Film are producing with the support of Film Center Serbia, as well as Serbia’s Ministry of Culture and Information, the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, the Yugoslav Cinematheque and the Arras Film Festival. The budget is 29,564 EUR / 3.5 m RSD.

    The film features: Milena Dravić, Svetozar Cvetković, Ilija Bašić, Slobodan Miletić, Branislav Dimitrijević, Andrej Popović, Petar Volk.

    Enclave / Enklava , the previous film by Goran Radovanović (a Serbian/German coproduction produced by Nama Film) was the Serbian candidate for the Academy Awards in the foreign language film section in 2015.
