Warsaw Kids Film Forum is the first, and the only, international co-production pitching forum for films and TV series for a young spectator taking place in Poland.
We believe that the second edition of WKFF, thanks to its extensive program, will be an excellent opportunity to discover new, interesting projects for production, distribution or sales as well as new scriptwriting talents.
The Forum will be held on 26-28 September at the Muranów Cinema in Warsaw at al. Gen. Andersa 5. The first day, so-called Inspiration Day, will start with 6 analyses and case studies devoted to successful European children's film and television. Maurice Wheeler from the British branding agency - Kids Industries - will tell us what the fans community is and how important it is in building a brand related to children's and family entertainment. Then the producers duo - Emil Larsson and Martin Jern from Swedish Dansk Skalle, using the example of Room 213, will try to answer the question of how to build children's cinema audience and how to get through to it. Gerry Shirren associated with Cartoon Saloon - an Irish animation studio known for such productions as the Secret Book of Kells or Secrets of the Sea (both nominated to the Oscar), will talk about the greatest successes of the studio and building its brand.
The second part of the presentation will be devoted to innovative children's productions. Riikka Takila from Finnish public television YLE will talk about a comedy series for youngsters Dragon Slayer 666, which was a huge viral success among young audiences. Gisle Halvorsen - showrunner at the Norwegian TV station NRK responsible for the production of, among others, the popular series called SKAM, will present the example of The Zombielars series, speaking about how to keep the young spectator's interest in the world dominated by the productions of Netflix and YouTube. The Inspiration Day section will end with Ingvil Giske’s - a Norwegian producer - presentation on successful documentary productions for children.
A pitching session - part of the Script Exchange - will also take place on the first day. This is a new Forum program proposal, created together with Script Fiesta. Authors of 8 selected scenarios will have the opportunity to present their ideas to a group of experts and decision makers.
The next two days will be devoted to pitching sessions of feature films and series projects at an early stage of development (Projects in development), as well as those in production (Work in progress). This year's selection includes titles from 11 different countries, including: Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, India, Israel, Latvia, Macedonia, Germany, Poland and Ukraine.
Film makers will have the opportunity to present their projects in front of a group experts from Poland and abroad - distributors, TV stations, sales agents and financing institutions. After the pitching session, we will hold individual meetings with producers of the presented projects. Pre-booking on the Forum's website is required.

The CeTA Award - Center for Audio-Visual Technologies CeTA will award 2 projects, giving them the opportunity to complete postproduction in the CeTA studio, for a total amount of PLN 140,000.
The EAVE Award - European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs will invite one of the selected projects to take part in the autumn film marketing workshop (Eave Marketing Workshop) in Luxembourg.
The Financing Forum for Kids Content Award - The Financing Forum For Kids Content (Malmö, Sweden) will award the best presentation, inviting producers to take part in Pitching during the next edition of the Forum in March 2019.
Script consultations at Consultants’ Tables are another point in the program. Consultants’ Tables are 40-minute, individual meetings with experienced script consultants. This year, we wanted to invite guests specializing in various genres, meeting the needs of creators of both feature and series production as well as those who work on transmedia projects.
