EFP announces screenings of six Academy Award ® Entries from Europe in Santa Monica

    On November 7th and 8th, during the American Film Market (AFM), European Film Promotion (EFP) will present six films which have been submitted by their respective countries for consideration as Best Foreign Language Film entries at the upcoming Academy Awards ® .

    Films from Austria, Finland, Luxembourg, Poland, Switzerland and The Netherlands will be screened for US distributors, international buyers and selected press at the Aero Theatre, located at 1328 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica. The films will be shown over two days with screenings at 11am, 3pm and 5pm.

    According to EFP President, Claudia Landsberger, "With this new and unique screening series, EFP is focusing attention on some of the best, most exciting filmmaking taking place in Europe today. Our hope is to position these extraordinary films for maximum exposure during this decisive time period." She further adds, "All of the films in the series are seeking US distribution, and presenting the films during the AFM offers the additional benefit of a potential pick-up for North America."
