31st Warsaw Film Festival – call for entries

    On March 15, the 31st Warsaw Film Festival, which will take place October 9-18, 2015, starts accepting submissions for this year's edition.

    The festival, founded in 1985, is accredited by FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers' Associations) as "international competitive film festivals". Only fifteen festivals in the world belong to this elite group.The films in the WFF's program must be absolute Polish premieres.

    In competitive sections the priority is given to world, international and European premieres.Competitive sections:

    1. International Competition – for feature films from all over the world,

    2. Competition 1-2 – for directors' first and second feature films,

    3. Free Spirit Competition – for  independent, innovative, rebellious feature films,

    4. Documentary Competition – for feature-length documentaries from all over the world (over 60 min),

    5. Short Films Competition – for short films from all over the world (under 40 min). Oscar® qualifying Award.

    Non-competitive sections:

    6. Special Screenings

    7. Discoveries – visions of contemporary world

    8. Classics from Poland

    9. Family Cinema Weekend – films for children and their parents

    10. Polish Short Films Panorama
