    NICOSIA: 78 Days by Serbian director Emilija Gašić received the Glocal Images Best Film Award in the International Competition section of the 22nd Cyprus Film Days (12 – 20 April 2024). Embryo Larva Butterfly by Kyros Papavassiliou was awarded Best Cypriot film.

    The Glocal Images Best Director Award went to Sofia Exarchou for Animal, a coproduction between Greece, Austria, Romania, Cyprus and Bulgaria.

    Eleven films including five majority or minority Cypriot coproductions took part in the Glocal Images International Competition Section of the most important film event in Cyprus.

    The domestic films from the International Competition also competed in the Cypriot Films Competition Section.

    The 5th edition of Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days, the coproduction, training and networking platform of the festival, was held 18 – 20 April 2024, and it included two sections: The Meeting Point co-production forum and Cinema Talks (educational masterclasses, round tables and presentations by established industry professionals).

    Cyprus Film Days is co-organised by the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth and the Rialto Theatre.
