PRAGUE: Chinese, Indian and Italian film and TV productions will fill the schedule at Milk & Honey Films and its sister film studio Prague Studios through the end of the year, with US and Canadian productions also on the horizon.
Tomas Krejci, the company’s founder, told FNE that Milk & Honey is coming in as a coproducer on all of its foreign productions, through the 20 percent Czech film incentives.
Production began on 24 June on Somewhere Only We Know, which Krejci said is the largest Chinese production produced outside China. The film’s story is set in Prague and will involve a 45 day shoot.
In July, Milk & Honey will oversee a ten-day shoot on the Bollywood film for Fox India, Bang Bang.
Two Italian TV series will arrive later in the summer. Menea a sports-themed series will shoot for four weeks in July and August. The RAI TV series Laura is in preparation to begin a 60 day shoot in mid-August until December at Prague Studios.
Krejci said one Canadian production and a US production are awaiting confirmation.
Prague Studios will also house public broadcaster Czech TV’s TV series First Republic which will begin a half-year shoot in September.
