New Europe Film Sales Joins Distribution Scheme

    WARSAW: New Europe Film Sales is joining Walk This Way in 2016 and will launch two films through the scheme. European distribution schemes Walk This Way and the TIDE Experiment received 1.15 m EUR funding boost from the EU in 2016.

    “We are launching two CEE films in the scheme, Papusza by Joanna Kos-Krauze and Krzysztof Krauze (Argomedia sp. z o.o., Telewizja Polska S.A., Canal+ Polska, Studio Filmowe KADR) and the Latvian Berlinale Generation winner Mother I Love You by Janis Nords (Film Studio TANKA, ARTBOX ). Each of these films did over 100 festivals and was sold in several countries. We are hoping for a strong interest on VOD, especially among Polish and Latvian expats”, Jan Naszewski, CEO of New Europe Film Sales told FNE.

    Walk This Way and The TIDE Experiment received 650,000 EUR and 0.5m EUR, respectively from the European Commission within the framework of the Creative Europe Programme.

    New Europe Film Sales, Protagonist Pictures, Beta Cinema, Celluloid Dreams and The Match Factory will join Walk This Way in 2016.

    Walk This Way promotes films for straight-to-VOD distribution in the EU and benefits from the experience of Under the Milky Way and Europa International, and the digital marketing expertise of The Film Agency.

    The TIDE Experiment scheme supports day-and-date, nearly-day-and-date and festival-to-date releases. The scheme is managed by Under The Milky Way, The Festival Agency, Independent Pan European Digital Association – IPEDA and The Film Agency.
