WARSAW: Loving Vincent by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Motion Picture – Animated category. This Polish/UK coproduction produced with a budget of 19.7 m USD already cashed in 20 m USD in 130 territories worldwide.
The film has had very good results in China (where it cashed in 1.04 m USD in its first day), Colombia, South Korea, Italy and also in the US and Canada, where it cashed in 5.8 m USD in 11 weeks.
Loving Vincent, a fully painted animation feature about Van Gogh, was produced by BreakThru Films and Trademark Films. Cinema Management Group is handling the sales.
On 9 December 2017 the film was awarded European Animated Feature Film 2017 at the 30th European Film Awards in Berlin.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will announce its 75th Golden Globes on 7 January 2018.
