COTTBUS: The feature film competition at the 25th Anniversary of the Cottbus Film Festival, which runs 3-8 November 2015, relies heavily on its Central European roots, with films from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia having an especially strong presence.

WARSAW: A jury composed entirely of CEE representatives gave its three awards to films from Central and South America at the 31st Warsaw IFF. Neon Bull (Brazil, Uruguay, Netherlands) directed by Gabriel Mascaro won the Warsaw Grand Prix, and the Mexican film A Monster with a Thousand Heads won best director for Rodrigo Pla and the jury’s special prize for actress Jana Raluy.

Festivals 15-10-2015The 19th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival unveils the inaugural Tridens First Features competition line-up. With an aim to discover and showcase new talent, the festival has selected 14 world and international premieres from diverse regions.

The East Doc platform is accepting submissions for its March 2016 event through 1 December 2015.
