WARSAW: Shooting has started for Filip Bajon's new version of the classic Polish comedy Mrs. Dulska's Morality. The premiere is planned for October 2015.

Bajon, a highly praised Polish filmmaker and director of KADR Studio, is experienced in bringing classical Polish novels and dramas to the big screen. After The Maiden Vows (KALEJDOSKOP Film Studio) and The Spring To Come (Message Film, Apple Film Production), he chose Mrs. Dulska's Morality, a classic Polish play written by Gabriela Zapolska in 1906, which exposes the rotten morality of the middle class.

Shooting started in Warsaw on 14 January 2015 and will continue in Lublin, where the story is set. The star-studded cast includes Krystyna Janda, Katarzyna Figura, Maja Ostaszewska, Mateusz Kościukiewicz, Sonia Bohosiewicz, Katarzyna Herman, Olgierd Łukaszewicz and Władysław Kowalski.

The film is produced by WFDiF with a planned budget of roughly 1.26m EUR / 5.3m PLN, of which approximately 595,000 EUR / 2.5 m PLN comes from the Polish Film Institute. The film also received financial support from the City of Lublin.
