MECEFF Announces Line-up

    BUCHAREST: The 4th edition of Mediaş Central European Film Festival (2-6 September), the only festival in Romania focusing on Central European cinema, announced the seven films competing for the festival's trophy.

    Following the tradition of the first three editions, the line-up comprises the winners of the national prizes from Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia.

    Beside the seven guest countries, the 4th edition will have a special non-CEE guest, Spain, and it will show the work of Pere Portabella and various Spanish films made throughout the years. More than 40 features, short films and documentaries will be screened.

    MECEFF is organized by Ecran Cinema Management, the Mediaş Town Hall, Romanian Cultural Institute,  Romanian Ministry of Culture, Romanian Film Center, and the Târnave Region, in coproduction with the Romanian public television.
