Astra Film Festival Announces Line up

    SIBIU: A record number of 1,500 documentaries from over 90 countries were submitted in the four competitions of Astra Film Festival. The 21st edition of the festival will take place in Sibiu from 5 to 11 October 2015. 

    The official selection gathers 130 films. There are four competitions: International Competition, Central &Eastern Europe Competition, Romanian Competition and Student Competition. A series of special programmes round off the official festival programme.

    Astra Film Festival takes place under the High Patronage of the President of Romania in 2015 thus receiving a pledge for a high-end cultural product. Spanning 22 years, AFF has become one of the main festivals for documentary cinema in the world, helping the consolidation and ascent of Romanian non-fiction cinema outside the Romanian borders.
